The Casa Med Classic FS by Drive Devilbiss has an attractive non-clinical finish and high degree of functionality.  The mattress support is made up of four sections that can be electronically controlled by the easy to use 8 button handset which has raised buttons for users with visual impairment or limited dexterity.  

The backrest, leg rest, knee brake and lower leg elevation are easy to operate using the handset which also allows both independent movement as well as synchronised movement of the head and foot rests.  This allows a wide range of profiling positions to be achieved reducing manual handling whilst maximising user comfort and ease of access. The bed height is adjustable between 40cm – 80cm (16″ – 31″) reducing the need for carers to bend so helping to reduce risk of back injuries.

For added safety the bed has integral side rails that can be raised and lowered, all actuators have quick release pins and a quick action bolt mechanism allows emergency lowering of the headrest. The four 10cm (4″) swivelling braked castors provide manoeuvrability and secure positioning. The bed can be assembled and dismantled without the use of tools and can be locked into a folded position for easy storage and transportation.
